It has been announced this week that the famous World Travel Awards (WTA) will have its Indian Ocean Gala Ceremony organized at the Sun Aqua Vilu Reef resort.
The ceremony will take place on July 8th, at the five star-luxury resort, and will be attended by hospitality leaders from the entire region. The World Travel Awards have taken place for the first time in 1993, and since then have been rewarding excellence in all tourism sectors.
The founder and president of the World Travel Awards, Graham Cooke, has declared with reference to this event which is going to take place in the Maldives: “It is an honor for us to reveal Sun Aqua Vilu Reef as the host for the World Travel Awards Indian Ocean Ceremony 2017. This is a wonderful resort in a picturesque tourist hotspot. It will be a genuine pleasure for us to welcome nominees to the event in July.”

Mr. Cooke continued his statement, declaring that “With voting still open there is a chance for members of the tourism industry and the general public to make their voices heard in the build up to the event.” Voting is indeed still open for the World Travel Awards Indian Ocean Gala Ceremony and people can vote until May 22nd, 2017 for their favorites.
The ceremonies organized by World Travel Awards are probably the most prestigious in the world of tourism, and the simple participation at this event creates great opportunities for networking, especially for the travel industry leaders.
At the event will take part not only the nominees and mass media, but also government leaders and important names in the tourism industry.
